Giraffe Suit

Tummy Time is more fun when you're dressed like a giraffe!

Just chillin' in my giraffe suit
Zia's friends Zoe, Alison and Dan got her a giraffe suit, so she thought it would be a good idea to post some photos of it.  This is also her first venture into 3-6 month clothes.  She is growing so fast her mom and dad can hardly believe it!

Visitors Visitors

Zia is only seven weeks old, but she sure has had a lot of visitors!  She loves the company.  Recent visitors, though, have gotten a glimpse of her new smile.  Aunt Claire, Uncle Pete and Cousin Dorothy came from California for a visit, which was a great excuse to have lunch with a bunch of family members!  Thanks to Margaret for organizing the lunch and perfect location for a nice get-together.  Here are a few photos of Zia with some of her visitors.  At the end of the visits (or sometimes during them) Zia relaxes with a nap.

Celebration!

The family

Mommy and Zia

Daddy is best at burping.  Check out my cute bear tail!
Zia took her daddy out to dinner on Saturday night to celebrate his big promotion at work.  She dressed up in her new bear outfit and had a great time snoozing through the main course.  She woke up and joined the party just in time for dessert.

One Month Old

Thanks, Granny Dorothy, for making me this quilt!

Early smiles...

Zia was kind enough to pose for some photos for her one-month birthday.  She is a great baby.  So far she enjoys walking at Greenlake, snoozing and eating.  She grew almost 2 pounds in her first month!

Welcome to Zia's Blog

Hi Grandpa, nice to meet you!

"I think, therefore I am."

These fingers sure taste good, Mommy.

Little girl, big carseat!!
Zia Evelyn Ruybalid was born on August 1, 2010 at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle.  She was 7 pounds and .07 ounces, and 19.5 inches.  Here are a few photos from her first days in the world.
