Summer 2014

Zia had a great summer.  She turned 4, celebrated her birthday, did a lot of swimming at the lake and playing with her family and friends.  This Fall, she left The Children's Hour and started Pre-K at Hallinan, the elementary school where she'll go to kindergarten.  Here are some photos from late Summer and early Fall.
Fun on the boat!

Baby ducks at George Rogers Park with Erin and Zane

"Let it Go" even works in the river!

Zia and I made her an Astrid costume (How to Train your Dragon) and then went walking all over the neighborhood.  It was 95 degrees outside.

Here she is practicing her Dragon Fighter moves

Zia, her papa (John) Uncle Boone, Dad and mom went to the rose garden, where she played on the stage in her Ariel princess dress.

Here she is at the rose garden

Zia's favorite color these days is beige, and she was disappointed that they only had purple balloons (she asked for beige)

Big girl dentist appointment!

Here Zia is on the top of the bleachers on new kids' day at Hallinan School.  Her friend Jocelyn was there, although she won't be joining Zia until Kindergarten next year.  There may be many gossip sessions at the top of the bleachers in their future!

First day of Pre-K!

Zia is on a Pre-K soccer team this year with her friends.  She likes practice more than games, so far, because she likes her practice outfit better than her game uniform.

And...she is also doing ballet, on Saturdays, and takes it very seriously!!

Zia had a party at her house to wait for Mary Poppins to come deliver her season theater tickets!  Tough life...

And here is Mary Poppins with the tickets!

Zia got invited to a horseback riding lesson with her friend Erin and had a blast!

Zia loved her horse, Paddington.
